Paint Order FAQs

All you need to know when you shop at trend + relic

All paint orders are shipped priority mail and will normally arrive in 3–5 days depending on location. Orders are shipped out within 1–2 days. I do my best to always ship as quickly as possible — I know painters are usually in the middle of a project when they order! There is never a guarantee that paint will arrive on time, and deliveries tend to be slower during holidays so please consider the extra time when placing your order. I will always consolidate orders to reduce shipping costs and proactively refund any shipping overage of $1 or more.

Orders are shipped out via USPS, Priority in most cases. Please note that Wax, Stain, and Finishing Oil must be shipped parcel post via ground. This is due to the typical volatile nature of these products. While our wax is made of beeswax/hemp oil/carnauba wax, we still adhere to the USPS law for shipping these products. Wax and SFO typically take about a week to arrive. If these products were ordered with other small items and the delivery time will not increase by more than a day, I may elect to ship all together via ground to save on shipping costs.

If ordering a small item that can be shipped 1st Class Mail (13oz. or less) and the delivery time will not increase by more than a day, I will elect to ship via 1st Class Mail to save you shipping costs and refund you the difference in shipping.

All paint sales are final so if you have any questions prior to ordering, please reach out. I’m happy to discuss any color choices or which products you will need for your project. I want you to be happy with your purchase and your finished product, so don’t hesitate to contact me. Of course, you may find that when the color arrives, you’ve changed your mind and prefer a different one. If that’s the case, I can exchange a color for you but please understand that the postage expense for both sending it back and delivering the new one must be covered by the customer. You can do this free of charge at our store located at 1501 Indiana Avenue, Saint Charles, IL.
Yes, you can! You are always welcome to buy paint or pick up an online order at our brick-and-mortar store located at 150 Indiana Avenue, Saint Charles IL. Please check ahead of time to make sure we have it all at the shop. I also have stock at home, so I will make sure it’s at the store for you when you arrive.
